Stocks to Watch Today, Sept 28, 2023: The Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading lower by 0.48 percent and 0.49 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is also trading lower by 0.32 percent at 12.30 IST. The broader markets are trading mixed at this moment, as the Nifty mid-cap index is down by 0.27 percent, while the smallcap indexes are trading higher by 0.43 percent.

Among the sectors, barring Nifty PSU Bank all sectoral indices are trading in the red. The sectors that are dragging the markets are IT, FMCG, and Auto. The news-based stocks to watch at this moment are given below:

Reliance Industries: the telecom stocks are in focus after the TRAI report. In the telecom segment of Reliance Industries, Jio gained 39.1 lakh users in July vs. a net addition of 22.7 lakh users in June, as per TRAI data. The market share now stands at 38.6%. The share price of Reliance Industries is trading lower by 0.55% at Rs 2355 per share

Bharti Airtel: The telecom major gained 15.2 lakh users in July vs. a net addition of 14.1 lakh users in June, according to TRAI data. The market share stands at 32.74%. The share price of Bharti Airtel is trading higher by 0.09% at Rs 921 per share

Infosys: The software giant Infosys launches Cobalt Airline Cloud, a first-of-its-kind industry cloud offering designed for commercial airlines to help them accelerate their digital transformation journey. The share price of Infosys is trading lower by 1.24% at Rs 1449 per share.

ONGC & MRPL: ONGC signed a crude oil sales pack with MPRL the agreement will bring synergy and streamline the sale and purchase transactions of crude oil from ONGC’s fields in Mumbai High. ONG also signed an agreement with NTPC Green Energy for national and overseas green energy projects. The share price of ONGC is trading higher by 0.35% at rs 187.90 per share while MRPL is trading higher by 2.36% at Rs 95.30 per share

Coal India: Trade unions have postponed a three-day strike to next month on Oct. 12–14 in the company and its subsidiaries. The share price of Coal India is trading higher by 0.19% at Rs 292 per share

Adani Enterprise: The share of Adani Enterprise is trading marginally higher by 0.03% at Rs 2484 per share, despite the cancellation of the iron ore mining contract by NMDC-CMDC, a joint venture of the National Mineral Development Corporation and the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation.

 

Mid & Smallcap Stocks to Watch Today

 

Vedanta: The Indian conglomerate Vedanta Ltd. will split its units into newly listed entities to get better valuations. The company will demerge its businesses including aluminum, oil and gas, iron, and steel will be listed as separate. The share price of Vedanta is trading higher by 0.96% at Rs 211 per share.

Tata Power: The share of Tata Power jumped 0.77% at Rs 261.75 per share after the company announced that its subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) will set up a 41 MW captive solar plant at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, for TP Solar’s new greenfield 4.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility.

Vodafone Idea: According to the TRAI data, the company lost 13.2 lakh users in July vs. a net loss of 12.9 lakh users in June. The market share now stands at 19.9%. The share price of Vodafone Idea is trading lower by 2.50% at Rs 11.70 per share.

NBCC: The public sector enterprise has announced that it will sell 14.75 lakh sq. ft. of commercial build-up space in the World Trade Centre, New Delhi, for Rs 5,716 crore through e-auction. The share price of NBCC is trading higher by 0.77% at Rs 59.15 per share

Dixon Technologies: The Indian multinational electronics manufacturing services company’s unit, Padget Electronics, signed a pact with Xiaomi to manufacture smartphones and related products at its Noida facility. The share price of Dixon Technologies is trading lower by 0.76% at Rs 5245 per share.

KEC International: The company received orders from various GST authorities on Sept. 13. The share price of KEC International is trading higher by 2.12% at Rs 675 per share

Nazara Technologies: The company received a Rs 2.83 crore tax demand plus interest and penalty from the Director General of GST Intelligence, Mumbai. The share price is trading higher by 1.82% at Rs 842.75 per share

MCX: Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) has announced the launch of a new web-based commodity derivatives platform (CDP) on October 3. The mock trading session is scheduled a day earlier. In the last month, MCX shares gained 28%, and the share price of MCX is trading higher by 6.59% at Rs 2064 per share
