Nifty and Sensex Teetering on the Edge Amid Mixed Asian Cues

Sensex and Nifty Today Sept 25, 2023: Indian stock market indices opened in the green on Monday, following the mixed cues from Asian Stock Markets. The Nifty index opened edge higher by 3.95 points at 19678.20 levels, while Sensex also opened slightly higher by 73.84 points at 66082.99 levels. The Bank Nifty also opened just above the flat line, up by 2.95 points at the 44615 level.

Market Live at 9.35 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading flat at this moment, hovering near their flat line and looking for the direction.  The Bank Nifty index is also trading flat at percent at 9.35 IST. The broader markets are also trading flat following their larger peers, as the Nifty midcap is trading near the neutral line, while smallcap index is trading slightly higher by 0.12 percent.

Among the sectors, the Financial Services, Auto, and Metal sectors are gaining the most while IT, FMCG, and Pharma are dragging the Nifty index

The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserve, Maruti, JSW Steel, and ONG  and the top losing stocks are L&T, SBI Life, Hero Motors, LTIM, and Axis Bank.

The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, and Reliance, in terms of volume HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, and SBI.

 

Asian Stock Market Live Updates Today

 

The other Asian stock market indexes are trading mixed on Monday, as investors are looking ahead to the key economic data across the region this week. Japan’s Nikkei is trading higher by 0.58 percent while South Korea’s Kospi extended its early losses and trading lower by 0.50 percent, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 trimmed some early losses and trading lower by 0.25 percent.

Shanghai and Hang Seng extended their early losses and are down by 0.47 percent and 1.57 percent respectively. Elsewhere, Straits Times and Taiwan are trading higher, while SET and Jakarta Composite are trading slightly lower at 9.10 am IST.
