Trade setup for Tuesday– Good morning and welcome to the morning reports, the top things to know before the market opens today March 29, 2022

Asian markets are trading higher on Tuesday tracking positive cues from the US market overnight. Nikkei and Hang Seng are trading higher by 0.61 percent and 0.90 percent respectively while Shanghai is trading 0.18 percent higher at this moment at 7.40 am IST. The SGX Nifty is trading higher by 120 points or 0.69 percent at 17399 levels.

The indication getting from the other Asian market peers is positive, Oil prices are also declining today. Indian stock markets are likely to start higher and the market sentiments may remain positive today.

 

The US and European market Indexes update

 

The US market indexes closed slightly higher after a choppy session, bond yields remained near their highest levels in 3 years. Investors’ sentiments remain positive as the oil price decline. The US market indexes, Dow Jones and S&P 500 gained 0.27 percent and 0.71 percent respectively while Nasdaq was up by 1.31 percent on Monday.

European markets ended in a mixed state on Monday, as investors eyed the diplomatic solution from the next round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Turkey. The European index, FTSE was down by 0.14 percent due to the correction in energy stocks as oil prices fell on China demand worries. CAC and DAX gained 0.54 percent and 0.78 percent respectively on Monday.

 

Indian stock market updates

 

Indian stock markets recovered early losses and managed to close in the green on Monday. The benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty gained 0.40 percent each on the first day of the week. FIIs were sellers whereas DIIs were the buyers in the cash segment. FIIs sold Rs 801.41 crore while DIIs bought Rs 1161.70 crore in the cash segment on Monday.

According to the latest public debt management report, the government’s total liabilities rose to Rs 128.41 crore in the December quarter from Rs 125.71 lakh crore reported in the previous quarter. The increase reflects a quarter on quarter increase of 2.15 percent in Oct-Dec end quarter of 2021-22

Crude oil price is trading below $ 110, the Brent crude is now trading at $ 107.93 per barrel on Tuesday morning at 7.45 am IST, touched $ 109.05 as high and $ 106.47 as low as of now.
