Stock Market LIVE Today: Sensex, Nifty end higher; Midcaps Outperform

Stock Market Live Today at 2 pm – The equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty gradually moving northwards direction. Sensex is trading higher at 0.28% while Nifty is up 0.21% at this moment. Bank Nifty is also trading higher by 0.31 percent and the broader markets outperforming their larger peers. 

 

Stocks in news

 

HDFC Bank is triaging 1.5% higher as Goldman Sachs restore its “buy” rating on the stock and raised its target price from Rs 1,840 to Rs 2,050 per share. The HDFC Bank is currently trading at 1635 per share.

The Power Finance Corporation (PFC) is trading higher for the third straight session. The share price of PFC is currently trading at Rs 209 more than 2% higher than the previous close.

Muthoot Finance is trading higher for the fifth straight session, the share price of Muthoot Finance is trading at Rs 1227 per share, 3% higher than the previous close.

The foreign brokerage firm Jefferies has retained its ‘buy’ rating on ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, with a target price of Rs 640,  almost 14% higher than the current rate of Rs 571.

 

Stock Market Live Today at 12.30 pm – Indian stock market indices are trading slightly higher at this moment. Sensex and Nifty are trading higher by 0.14 percent and 0.06 percent respectively. Banki Nifty is trading absolutely falt this moment. 

The market breadth is positive. The broader markets are outperforming as Nifty mid and small-cap indexes are trading higher by 0.82 percent and 0.30 percent respectively.

On the global front, Asian markets are mostly trading lower at this moment, with Hang Seng and Shanghai leading the losses in the region, down almost 1-2% at this moment. European stock market indexes are heading for mixed opening, as UK inflation came higher than expected in May.

 

Stock Market Live Today at 11.15 am  The equity benchmarks trimmed most of their early gains and are trading flat at this moment. Sensex hit an all-time high of 63,588.31 and trading at 63323 levels and Nifty is trading near 18800 levels. The Bank Nifty also pared early gains and is trading slightly lower at 43703.

The Nifty Media, Energy, and Realty sectors are trading higher while Metal, Auto, and It are dragging the markets southwards.

 

Stock Market Live Today 21 June: Indian stock market indices opened higher on Wednesday despite negative cues from global markets. The Nifty index opened higher by 32.7 points at 18849.40 levels, while Sensex also opened higher by 139.76 points at 63467.46 levels. The Bank Nifty made a positive opening of 127.9 points at the 43894.40 level.

The Bank Nifty is trading higher by 0.32 percent at 9.35 IST. The broader markets are outperforming their larger peers, as the Nifty mid and smallcap indexes are trading higher by 1.01 percent and 0.56 percent respectively.

Among the sectors, Nifty Media, Realty, and Financial Services are leading as gainers, while Metal and Pharma are trading lower at this moment.

The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are HDFC Life, Power Grid, HDFC Bank, Untratech Cement, and Wipro and the top losing stocks are JSW Steel, Divis Lab, Hindalco, Apollo Hospital, and Cipla

The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are HDFC Bank, Reliance, and Tata Motors in terms of volume Tata Steel, Power Grid, and Tata Motors.

 

Asian Stock Market Live Today

 

Asian stock market indexes are mostly trading lower on Wednesday, following the losses from the US markets overnight. Japan’s Nikkei reversed early losses and is trading higher, as the business sentiments of large manufacturers rose for the second month in May, according to a survey. 

South Korea’s Kospi trading lower despite its producer inflation decline in May. Hang Seng fell the most in the region, down around 2% at present. Shanghai and other key Asian stock markets indexes like Taiwan, SET Composite, and Jakarta are also trading lower at this moment.
