Stock Market Live: Sensex and Nifty are trading slightly higher

 

Stock Market Live: Indian stock market indexes opened flat on Tuesday, tracking mixed global cues. The Nifty index opened higher by 6.95 points at 18600.80 levels, while Sensex opened slightly lower by 49.12 points at 62738.35 levels. The Bank Nifty opened marginally higher by 55.05  points at 44156.70 levels

 

Stock Market Live Today 

 

Market Live at 9.40 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading flat to positive, Sensex is up by 0.06 percent while Nifty is trading 0.09 percent higher. The Bank Nifty is trading higher by 0.11 percent at 9.40 IST. The broader markets are also trading flat following their larger peers, as the Nifty midcap is up by 0.03 percent while smallcap index is trading higher by 0.33 percent.

Among the sectors, Auto, Realty, Metal, and Bank are trading higher while IT, Media, and PSU Banks are trading in the red.

The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Ultratech Cement, Adani Enterprise, Kotak Bank, Asian Paints, and Maruti and the top losing stocks are Infy, HCL Tech, Wipro, TCS, and Cipla.

The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are Adani Enterprise, Infy, and Axis Bank in terms of volume Tata Steel, Tata Motors, and Infy.

 

Global Stock Market Live Updates

 

On the global front, Asian stock markets are trading higher on Tuesday, as weak service activity data in the US increased a hope that the Federal Reserve will pause the interest rate hike in the upcoming meeting. Hang Seng gaining the most in the region at this moment (9.30 am IST).

Nikkei and Shanghai indexes are trading marginally higher while Kospi is not trading today due to a holiday. The US futures, Dow, and Nasdaq futures are trading absolutely flat at this moment.
