Market Live Today: Sensex, Nifty open at a record high

 

Stock Market LIVE Today July 18, 2023: Indian stock market indices opened higher on Tuesday amid mixed global cues. The Nifty index opened higher by 76.05 points at 19787.50  levels, while Sensex also opened higher by 239.03 points at 66828.96 levels. The Bank Nifty made a positive opening of 305.05 points at the 45754.80 level.

Market Live at 9.30 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading higher by 0.50 percent and 0.40 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is trading higher by 0.84 percent at 9.30 IST. The broader markets are underperforming their larger peers, as the Nifty mid and smallcap indexes are trading flat to negative at this moment

Among the sectors, Banks, Financial Services, and Realty are trading as top gainers while Media, Metal, and IT are in correction.

The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Apollo Hospital, HDFC Bank, Infy, IndusInd Bank, and ICICI Bank and the top losing stocks are LTIM, Titan, Bharti Airtel, TechM, and HDFC Life

The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are  HDFC Bank, Reliance, and Infy in terms of volume HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, and Infy.

 

Asian Stock Market Live Today

 

Asian Stock markets are mostly trading lower on Tuesday, as investors are looking ahead to more economic data from the region and important quarterly earnings from Wall Street this week. Japan’s Nikkei erased most of its early gains and is trading slightly higher at this moment.

Hang Seng resumed trading on Tuesday after its sessions were suspended on Monday due to Typhoon, the index is trading lower by 2 percent dragged by property and tech stocks. The other key Asian market indexes, Shanghai, Taiwan, Kospi, and Jakarta are trading lower at this moment.
