Market Live 2nd Sept: Markets are trading flat, IT, Metals are in focus

 

Indian markets opened in flat notes today as expected. The Nifty opened at 11478.55 levels gained only 8.3 points at the time of opening while Sensex opened at 38892.64 made a negative opening of  8.16 points. The Bank Nifty also opened in negative, 43 points down at 23769 levels.

At, 9.45 AM, Nifty and Sensex are trading higher at 0.34% and 0.29% while Bank Nifty is trading 0.23% lower.

Bharti Infratel, Zee Entertainment, and Ultratech Cement are trading as top gainers in the Nifty index whereas Power Grid Corp, Grasim, and Bajaj Auto are trading as top losers at this moment. The most active stocks in the Nifty index are Bharti Airtel, Reliance, and Bajaj Finance.

IT & Software, Metals, and Healthcare sectors are trading higher while Banks are trading as marginally lower.

 

 

Market Live for 2nd Sept, Indian markets may open in flat

 

Good morning and welcome to Market Live for 2nd Sept, at 8.30 AM

Asian markets are trading mixed today. Nikkei and Taiwan are trading higher by 0.30% and 0.10% respectively whereas Hang Seng is trading lower by 0.79%. The SGX Nifty is also trading lower by 20 points indicating a flat opening for the Indian markets today.

Yesterday, the US markets closed higher, S&P 500 and Nasdaq rose to fresh highs. The US manufacturing activity accelerated in August for the third month in a row. The manufacturing data showed the US economy continues to bounce back from the coronavirus shutdown. 

The Dow index and S&P 500 gained 0.76% and 0.75% respectively while the Nasdaq index rose 1.39% on Tuesday 1st Sept.

The European markets closed in the mixed on Tuesday due to weak eurozone inflation data while technology shares outperformed yesterday. The FTSE and CAC closed lower by 1.70% and 0.18% whereas DAX closed marginally higher at 0.22% on 1st September.

In India, Sensex and Nifty closed higher by 0.71% and 0.73% respectively on Tuesday. FIIs are back to buying spree after selling on Monday and DIIs were the sellers yesterday. FIIs bought Rs 486.09 cr whereas DIIs sold Rs 775.88 cr on the first day of the month.

News that may influence in Live Market today

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection for the month of August stood at Rs 86,449 cr this is against Rs 87,422 cr in July and Rs 98,202 in the month of August last year.

Yesterday, the US trade representative has extended China tariff exclusions for a wide range of goods, including smartwatches and certain medical mask, through the end of 2020, rather than renewing the previous one-year extension.

On Tuesday, Moody’s Investors Service said, that India will be among the large emerging market sovereigns to have the highest debt burden by 2021.

Automobiles stocks will be in the news today due to their August sales numbers.
