Indian markets continued their upward momentum in the morning deal, as crude oil prices dropped and FIIs selling declined, on Monday FIIs sold Rs 176 crore in the cash segment. Markets traded volatile in the first half and fell sharply in the late noon session. The sentiment dampened as CPI-based inflation rise marginally and a sharp up move was seen in US 10 year treasury bond yield to 2.16 percent.

Meanwhile, investors are hopeful about the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire talks that are resumed today and could lead to a diplomatic solution to the ongoing war.
