Gainers and Losers in NSE- Weekly Stock Market Analysis (28 March -1 April ): Indian equity markets rebound after a pause in the previous week and reported a second-best week in the last seven months. The domestic stock markets gained around 3 percent during the week ended 1 April. The institutional buying of both FIIs and DIIs, the decline in crude oil prices, and hopes of peace talk between Russia and Ukraine supported the local markets.
It was a broad-based rally as midcap and smallcap indexes also gained in line with their larger peers. On a sectoral basis, Bank Nifty and Nifty financials gain the most during the week followed by FMCG and Auto, whereas Pharma and Metal indexes closed slightly lower.
Weekly Indian Stock Market Updates (28 March – 1 April )
On a weekly basis, Sensex jumped 1914.49 points or 3.34%, and closed at 59276.69, while Nifty closed higher by 517.45 points or 3.02%, and ended at 17670.45 levels. The Bank Nifty on the spot price was climbed 1738.4 points or 4.91 % on a weekly basis and finished at 37148.5 levels.

The broader markets also performed in line with their larger peer for the week. The Nifty midcap index gained 860 points or 2.94% and closed at 30134.55 levels. The Nifty small-cap index was up 306.8 points or 2.98 percent and ended at 10611.25 levels during the week.

FIIs and DIIs investment
Foreign Institutional investors (FIIs) have turned buyers during the week ended 1 April. The Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) continued their buying spree in the cash segment. FIIs bought Rs 5590.04 crores, while DIIs also bought Rs 5052.5 crore in the cash market segment during the week ended April 1.
